Inclusion at Camp

The Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp's philosophy is to create a memorable camping experience for children of all abilities.

Camping is a wonderful social experience and we recognize and celebrate how special and unique we all are. Our goal is to offer all campers a joyful and integrated summer experience. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment to promote each camper’s growth, independence and self-confidence. We will try our best to accommodate all applicants however, our Inclusion support service spaces are limited. Applications will be accepted but confirmation will only be provided once the intake process is completed.

Inclusion Support Offers:

  • Prior to registration, parents/guardians are requested to fill out an intake form and take part in a 15-20 minute interview. During the intake process, additional information from other professionals and/or schools may be requested.

  • Initial Assessment: Ensuring there is a good program fit is especially important in setting up campers for success. The level of support for each camper will be determined based on their individual needs.

  • Ongoing communication: we prioritize open and ongoing communication with families throughout the camper’s journey, ensuring that we provide the best support and experience.

  • Our senior summer staff includes a dedicated full-time Behavioral Specialist, ensuring a positive and fun environment for all.

1:1 Support
For campers who require additional support, we will try our best to provide one-on-one support.

Please note, there is an additional fee of $625 per session for 1:1 support.

Families are welcome to arrange their own 1:1 support, in coordination and with prior approval from the Camp Director
