2027 Cancellation, Refund & Registration Change Policy

Registration at The Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp reserves a space for your camper for the session(s) selected. Our staffing, programming and operational planning are based on confirmed registrations. For this reason, the following cancellation and refund policies apply to all 2027 registrations.

Registration Deposit
A $250 non-refundable deposit per child is required at the time of registration to secure your camper’s space. The deposit is applied toward your camper’s total camp fees.

Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Centre Camp office.

September 28, 2026 – December 31, 2026: Families who cancel during this period will receive a refund of any camp fees paid, less the non-refundable $250 deposit per child.

January 1, 2027 – March 31, 2027: Families who cancel during this period will receive a refund of any camp fees paid, less the non-refundable $250 deposit per child plus an additional $250 cancellation fee per child, for a total cancellation cost of $500 per child.

April 1, 2027 – July 4, 2027: No cash refunds will be provided. Families who cancel during this period will receive credit for all camp fees paid less the non-refundable $250 deposit per child plus an additional $250 cancellation fee per child, for a total cancellation cost of $500 per child.
The credit may be applied toward eligible programs or services at the JCC. Credits have no cash value and cannot be refunded or transferred to another family.

Once the camper’s first registered week of camp begins: All camp fees are non-refundable and no credits will be issued, including if a camper leaves camp early or withdraws to attend an overnight camp or another program.

Shortening a Camper’s Registration
Reducing the number of registered weeks or sessions is considered a partial cancellation.

Before April 1, 2027: Requests to shorten a camper’s registration will be eligible for a refund of the fees associated with the cancelled weeks, less a $150 administrative fee per child.

April 1, 2027, until the camper’s first registered week begins: No cash refunds will be provided for removed weeks. Families will receive credit for the value of the removed weeks, less the applicable $150 administrative fee per child. The credit may be applied toward eligible programs or services at the JCC.

Once the camper’s first registered week begins: No refunds or credits will be provided for any removed weeks or sessions.
Any multi-week, promotional, early-bird or other discount associated with the original registration will be recalculated based on the camper’s revised registration. If shortening the registration changes the camper’s eligibility for a discount, any refund or credit will be calculated using the applicable rate for the number of weeks ultimately registered.

Session Transfers
Requests to move a camper from one week or session to another may be accommodated subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Where a transfer can be accommodated and does not reduce the total number of weeks registered, no cancellation fee will apply.
Any difference in program fees will be charged or credited accordingly.

Adding Camp Weeks
Additional weeks or sessions may be added at any time, subject to availability.
Fees will be based on the applicable registration rate at the time the additional week or session is added.

Missed Camp Days
Camp fees reserve a camper’s space for the registered session and are not calculated on a daily attendance basis.
There are no refunds, credits, or make-up days for camp days missed due to vacation, appointments, transportation issues, late arrival, early departure, temporary illness, family choice, attendance at another camp or program, or other personal circumstances.

Medical Withdrawal
We recognize that unexpected and significant medical circumstances can arise.
If a camper is unable to attend camp due to a serious illness or injury, a family may submit a written request for consideration of an exception to the cancellation policy. Supporting documentation from a regulated health professional may be required.
Any refund or credit will be considered on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed.

Exceptional Circumstances
Centre Camp recognizes that exceptional circumstances may arise that are not specifically addressed by this policy.
The Camp Director may review exceptional requests on a case-by-case basis. Any exception made in one circumstance does not create an obligation to make the same exception in another circumstance.
